A young couple are bringing authentic Thai cuisine to Ramsbottom after setting up their own restaurant. Mylo Sedgley-Phillips, 23, and Ketsara Lumb, 25, from Rochdale, are using their combined experience in the hospitality sector to offer a “cosy and welcoming” dining option to people who may be looking for “something different”. Sawadee Thai Dining will be opening in the first week of April in Bolton Street, with the exact date to be confirmed nearer the time.

Mylo said: “I’ve worked in various bars and restaurants in Manchester. "Opening our own place is something that we’ve always wanted to do and it felt like the right time for us to give it a go for ourselves.” Ketsara, who was born in Thailand, has also accrued a wealth of experience in the sector.

The restaurant will be opening at 41 Bolton Street, the site of the former Korean restaurant, KimJi, which closed earlier this month. "It will be fully authentic with all of our dishes and main ingredients coming from T.
