DJ Fantan’s Ex-Wife Gamuchirai Nemukuyu Flees Zimbabwe With Children: ‘I Couldn’t Take It Anymore’Gamu Nemukuyu, the former wife of popular Zimdancehall DJ Fantan, has revealed that she fled Zimbabwe with her children last week, seeking refuge in South Africa. She claims she was forced to leave due to relentless emotional distress and a severe decline in her mental well-being.Her sudden departure came shortly after DJ Fantan publicly claimed that Gamu had “disappeared” with their two children, sparking widespread speculation.
However, Gamu has now spoken out, offering a different perspective on the situation.Speaking from her new home in South Africa, Gamu said her decision to leave was driven by what she describes as unbearable treatment from her ex-husband.“I left the country because of how my ex-husband was treating me,” Gamu explained.
“I couldn’t take the frustration and the torture that I got every day.”She alleges that DJ Fantan harassed and intimidated her regularly, making her life difficult. Gamu recounted instances that she found particularly distressing, including frequent late-night and early-morning calls.
“I was tormented, he would call in the middle of the night, would call early in the morning and act as if he wanted to check the welfare of the kids. At one time he called me around 6 am and said, ‘do you want to help the kids with homework?’ Who does that? Who calls someone at six?,” she said. She also accused Fantan of making unan.
