A new retirement development in Eastbourne has been named Harbourside House. The name was chosen by McCarthy Stone, the UK's leading developer and manager of retirement communities, to reflect the site's location near Sovereign Harbour North Marina. The marina is home to a variety of waterside restaurants, bars, and cafés.
Harbourside House, which is set to be completed by summer 2026, will be exclusively for the over 60s. It has been designed to offer retirees the independence they desire, while ensuring support is readily available. It will feature 57 low-maintenance, one and two-bedroom retirement apartments, designed to help the over 60s make the most of their later years. Each property will have access to communal spaces, including a lounge for socialising and relaxing, and a communal garden maintained by McCarthy Stone's team.
