Lady Gaga is famous for her daring fashion, chart-topping music, and more recently, her Hollywood film roles. However, she has been fighting a long-term health battle that affects millions worldwide, but often goes unseen. The pop icon has been living with fibromyalgia, a chronic condition causing widespread body pain, since 2017.

She first shared her diagnosis on social media, announcing that her documentary, Five Foot Two, would delve into her experiences with the condition. In a passionate post, Lady Gaga expressed her desire to raise awareness and connect with fellow sufferers, saying: "I wish to help raise awareness and connect people who have it. We can all share what helps/hurts.



" In a candid interview with Vogue, the 38 year old, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, opened up about the debilitating impact of fibromyalgia on her life. Frustrated by sceptics, Lady Gaga explained: "I get so irritated with people who don't believe fibromyalgia is real. For me, and I think for many others, it's really a cyclone of anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and panic disorder, all of which sends the nervous system into overdrive, and then you have nerve pain as a result.

" Lady Gaga emphasised the relentless nature of chronic pain, saying: "People need to be more compassionate. Chronic pain is no joke. And it's every day waking up not knowing how you're going to feel.
