SEATTLE — The Dallas Stars could secure a playoff berth Saturday night, but they’ll need some help from around the league. Dallas will clinch with a win over the Seattle Kraken and a loss by either the St. Louis Blues or Calgary Flames.
The Blues face the Colorado Avalanche, while the Flames take on the Edmonton Oilers. The Stars can clinch in the following scenarios: A win in any fashion and a Blues or Flames loss, regardless of how. A point against the Kraken (via overtime or shootout loss) and a Blues or Flames loss in regulation.
The Stars (47-21-4) are second in the Central Division with 98 points and are closing in on their second straight playoff appearance. With 10 games left in the regular season, clinching early would give Dallas time to fine-tune its lineup before the postseason. Puck drop is set for 9:30 p.
