New details have been released regarding the deaths of Virgin River star Callum Kerr’s mom and stepdad . Dawn and Andrew Searle were found dead by a neighbor on February 6 at their home in south-west France , near Villefranche-de-Rouergue. Prosecutors in Rodez have now issued an update on their deaths.
Post-mortem examinations revealed Dawn had suffered "multiple blows to the head with a blunt and sharp-edged object." Andrew appeared to have died by suicide. Circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear.
Prosecutors in Rodez said in a statement, "The investigation is ongoing, particularly to determine whether the tragedy resulted from a domestic crime followed by suicide or involved a third party." Dawn was found partially undressed at the front of the couple's home. A box of jewelry was found nearby, however, investigators said they found "no object or weapon capable of causing the injuries was found.
" Andrew was discovered at the back of the house by firefighters who responded to an alert. He had "no visible defensive wounds," investigators told the BBC . A statement issued to the publication said the property "appeared to have been searched superficially.
" Cash was also found in the couple's bedroom. Further toxicological tests are under way. Public prosecutor for the area, Nicolas Rigot-Muller, previously told The Telegraph, "Both died violent deaths, but I can’t establish that either was a homicide.
