By . Veteran golfer, Mrs. Grace Ihonvbere, has pledged that the newly inaugurated Board of Trustees (BoT) of the prestigious IBB International Golf and Country Club will usher in a new era of growth and excellence.

Speaking with Golf Digest, a former Lady captain of the club, popularly known as ‘Lady G’ now serving under the chairmanship of Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, President of the Court of Appeal, Ihonvbere expressed full confidence in the board’s ability to elevate the club to global standards. “I was vying for the club captainship but had to step down because I was appointed as a member of the BoT. So that is another first, as it is an achievement being one of the first ladies to occupy a position in the BoT under the leadership of a justice,” Ihonvbere shared.

“The world is changing and we have women who are immensely qualified to occupy different positions, and I’m thankful to the federal government for appointing me to this current BoT.
