Saturday, March 22, 2025 United Airlines has announced significant updates to its summer flight schedule, including reductions in its Canadian routes and shifts in domestic services. These adjustments signal a potential drop in Canadian travel to the U.S.

as the summer season approaches. Canadian Route Changes One of the most impactful changes is the cancellation of United’s new service between Toronto Pearson International (YYZ) and Los Angeles International (LAX). Additionally, United will cut back on several existing flights between the U.



S. and Canada. For example, the Washington Dulles (IAD) to Ottawa (YOW) route will be reduced from four daily flights to three, while the Washington Dulles to Montreal (YUL) service will decrease from three to two daily flights.

Other routes to Canada, particularly those operating on Saturdays, will also see reduced frequencies. These changes could affect market competition, especially for airlines operating similar services to these destinations.
