This long-anticipated development was confirmed through the airline’s social media channels after much speculation about a potential link to London Gatwick.
The new service will operate four times a week, departing from Entebbe International Airport at 09:25 on Sundays, 00:05 on Tuesdays, 00:25 on Wednesdays, and 03:10 on Fridays. Arrival times at London Gatwick are scheduled for 16:55, 07:35, 07:55, and 10:40 respectively. Return flights from London will leave Gatwick at 19:05 on Sundays, 09:40 on Tuesdays, 09:50 on Wednesdays, and 12:40 on Fridays.
The flights are set to arrive back in Entebbe at 06:35 (next day), 21:10, 21:20, and 00:10 (next day), respectively. This route will be operated using Uganda Airlines’ Airbus A330-800neo aircraft. The wide-body jet offers a three-class layout, including 20 business class seats, 28 in premium economy, and 210 in standard economy.
