Badam Vaer in Srinagar, India blossoms with vibrant almond trees and lavender gardens this spring, drawing tourists to its serene beauty and cultural landmarks.As spring graces Kashmir, Badamwari Garden, also known as Badam Vaer in Srinagar, has become a magnet for visitors, lured by the stunning almond tree blossoms.Nestled at the base of the iconic Hari Parbat Fort, the garden transforms into a floral haven, with the sweet scent of blooming almonds filling the air, creating a magical experience.

The tranquil atmosphere, combined with nearby cultural landmarks like the Hazrat Makhdoom Sahib shrine and Gurdwara Chatti Padshahi, makes it a beloved spot for both tourists and locals alike.To enhance its allure, the floriculture department has introduced lavender trees, aiming to establish a themed garden that will further boost tourism in the years ahead.Almond trees are among the first to bloom in Kashmir, with their flowers typically blooming from mid-March to mid-April.



This period envelops the garden in a fragrant haze, attracting nature enthusiasts and photographers who marvel at the picturesque view of colorful blossoms against the historic fort backdrop.Recognizing the growing popularity of Badam Vaer, the Department of Floriculture has invested in expanding its appeal. Thousands of lavender trees have been planted on the garden’s upper slopes, and plans are in place to transform the space into a theme garden, expected to attract even more visitors.
