The Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority (TPA) has pledged K50,000 to sponsor the 51st Hiri Moale Festival, one of the country’s most significant cultural events. The festival, set to take place from April 3rd to 6th, 2025, will celebrate the historic Hiri trading voyages between the Motuans and Gulf people, marking a rich tradition that spans generations.This sponsorship underscores TPA’s continued commitment to promoting and preserving Papua New Guinea’s cultural heritage.

The festival, which is expected to attract more than 15,000 attendees, will provide a platform for showcasing the unique traditions of the Motu Koita people, including music, dance, and art.
