One Alberta city, just over two hours away from Calgary, has been ranked among the top spots to do just that this season. Airbnb released its 2025 spring travel trends for Canadians and broke down the top trending domestic destinations, from little coastal towns to bustling cities.
Lethbridge, Alberta, was put under the spotlight and placed on the list. The city may be small, but it's gaining some attention thanks to its quaint feel, outdoor fun, and stunning scenery. The city's tourism website calls it a "UNESCO World Heritage hub" thanks to its proximity to four sites — which are all a day trip away.
Staying in the city means exploring the local shops, boutiques, and picturesque downtown — but also looking outward. The first UNESCO World Heritage Site is Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park, where you'll find a landscape like none other.
