Korean Air has made headlines in recent weeks. The carrier caused controversy earlier this month when it unveiled a new livery as part of its larger efforts to refresh the Korean brand. Now, the carrier is making other changes, but this time, to its long-haul schedule.

The airline will be introducing regular services to London Heathrow Airport with its Boeing 747-8. Data from Cirium , an aviation data analytics provider, shows that London Heathrow will join a small list of Korean Air destinations served by the Boeing jet. Korean will deploy its Boeing 747-8 to Heathrow later this year Korean already serves London Heathrow Airport from its hub at Seoul Incheon Airport in South Korea.

However, its schedule on the route will change as the carrier reintroduces the Boeing 747-8 on services to the United Kingdom. Given London's status as a critical business and economic hub for the world, it makes sense Korean would connect the two cities with such a large aircraft. The Boeing 747-8 will first return to the route in late July 2025, according to Cirium.

July 25, 26, 28, and 30 will have direct services to Seoul from London with the 747. However, these jumbo jet services do not become regular until the next month. In July, the 747 will offer a total of 1,472 seats across four flights.

In August, service will move to a regular basis with the jet. In August 2025, London Heathrow will host the Korean 747-8 four times per week. These flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, .
