The United Kingdom’s Foreign Office recently updated its guidance, emphasizing the need for UK passport holders to adhere to US entry rules, including visa conditions.
The advisory specifically warns that travelers who fail to comply with the United States’ strict entry policies may face arrest or detention upon arrival. “The authorities in the U.S.
set and enforce entry rules strictly,” the UK Foreign Office states, urging travelers to be aware of the consequences of breaking these rules. In early February, the UK confirmed that it had provided support to a British national detained in the US.
