A series of closures are set to hit the M4 in Wiltshire with drivers warned to find alternative routes. Drivers travelling on the motorway through Wiltshire have been warned by National Highways that the M4 will be partially closed from 9pm on Monday, March 24. This closure will affect the eastbound carriageway between junction 17 at Chippenham and junction 16 at Swindon, and will last until 6am on Tuesday, March 25.

During this time, the road will be closed to all vehicles to allow electrical works to be carried out. Motorists will be urged to follow the official diversion route via the A350 to Chippenham, the A4 to Calne, and the A3102 to junction 16 and vice versa.
