Saturday, March 22, 2025 Azores Airlines is set to boost its connectivity between Lisbon (mainland Portugal) and the island of Pico (Azores) during the upcoming IATA Summer 2025, introducing an additional direct flight service. Starting on July 4 and running until August 29, the airline will operate this extra flight every Friday, providing travelers with more convenient options to reach the picturesque island. Increased Frequency to Meet Growing Demand With this new service, Azores Airlines will gradually ramp up its capacity, ultimately offering up to six direct flights per week during the peak summer period, from April to October.

This increased frequency is designed to meet the growing demand for travel between Lisbon and the Azores, ensuring that both locals and tourists alike can access the stunning island destination with ease. New Flight Timings for More Flexibility The added Lisbon-Pico flight will depart Lisbon at 12:00 PM (local time) and land in Pico at 1:45 PM. The return flight from Pico to Lisbon will leave at 2:35 PM (local time), arriving in Lisbon at 6:05 PM.



These new timings will provide passengers with more flexibility and greater convenience when planning their trips to the Azores or back to mainland Portugal.
