Bhopal: A man in Bhopal was arrested for stealing a Thar Roxx jeep worth Rs 21 lakh following the death of its owner, a State Bank of India (SBI) manager. The accused, Tulsiram, planned to sell the luxury vehicle but was caught by police before he could complete the deal. After receiving a complaint, TT Nagar police formed two teams to track the stolen vehicle.
One team analyzed footage from over 40 CCTV cameras, tracing the car’s movement, while the second team questioned locals and witnesses, India Today reported. During the investigation, police discovered that Tulsiram had been spotted driving the jeep from Platinum Plaza, where the late owner, Sachin Gokhale, had parked it. Acting on this lead, officers tracked and surrounded Tulsiram, recovering the stolen vehicle.
How Tulsiram Stole the Thar Tulsiram, who worked at a momos shop, saw an opportunity after learning about Gokhale’s passing. Knowing the jeep keys were in Gokhale’s flat at the SBI guest house, he accessed them with the help of his brother, who worked there. When a parking guard questioned him, Tulsiram falsely claimed he was taking the vehicle to Gokhale’s family in Indore.
