The sculpture, called 'Glassed in Dreams,' was created by Buckinghamshire-based curator Vassiliki Tzanakou and conceptual artist Gabriele Beveridge. It was selected as the winning commission for the Of Being Numerous open call, which sought proposals inspired by George Oppen’s poem about urban life. The installation, which is free to view, will remain on display at 100 Bishopsgate until February 2026.

It features three large-scale sculptural works: Nest (II), Bodies (I, II, III), and Cords (VI, VII, VIII, IX). These pieces interact with the building’s glass and steel atrium, blurring the lines between interior and exterior space. Ms Tzanakou said: "This commission was an opportunity to activate a space not typically associated with contemporary sculpture.

"Through this installation, we hope to create a moment of pause and beauty, encouraging people to reflect on the relationship between urban life, materiality, and human experience." The installation was presented by Brookfield Properties and The Association of Women in the Arts (AWITA). It was chosen from more than 40 international entries.

Ms Tzanakou's success in securing this high-profile commission highlights her growing influence in contemporary curation. Her experience as an art historian and independent curator has been instrumental in directing Beveridge’s sculptural vision. Beveridge’s work is rooted in material exploration, particularly the interplay of glass and steel.

She said: "I am drawn to the material.
