Despite the hype, ‘Sikander’s first-day box-office figures were a tad underwhelming for a Salman Khan-starrer. As per a report by box-office tracker Sacnilk, the A Murugadoss directorial collected a modest Rs 26 crore on the day of its release. Although this is undoubtedly a marked improvement over the first-day earnings of his previous movie, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai, Kisi Ki Jaan’ (Rs 13 crore), it still falls short of the spectacular Rs 53 crore opening day figures of ‘Tiger 3.
