RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. (WV News) - A wild affair with rival Wahama and a "Battle of the Red Devils" matchup with Calhoun resulted in wins for the Ravenswood baseball team last week.

Ravenswood, guided by veteran head coach Wes Swain, outlasted the White Falcons, 15-14, while having its way against Calhoun County, 11-1. Both games were played on the home turf of Wright Field at Ravenswood's City Park. The wins ran Ravenswood's winning streak to four straight following a season opening loss to Oak Glen.

At 4-1, the Devils host Braxton today (Tuesday), entertain Buffalo on Wednesday, visit Clay Thursday and journey to Man on Saturday. Neither team played great baseball," said Swain. "We had eight errors and struck out 13 times, but they kept walking us and we would get a timely hit. "We were playing behind the whole game and would cut the deficit a little and then they would come back out and score.
