The artistry of Telangana’s handlooms weavers would be under spotlight next month when Miss World beauty pageant 2025 contestants from across the globe would be taken on an experiential tour of Pochampalli . This would highlight the State’s textile traditions renowned for their vibrant patterns and sustainable craftsmanship. The beauty contest is scheduled to be held from May 10 to June 2.
According to an earlier scheduled shared by Telangana Tourism department , some of the contestants would be taken to Pochampalli on May 15. A fashion show would be held too as part of the event, featuring the State’s iconic handlooms, blending tradition with contemporary elegance. The Tourism department officials including Secretary Smita Sabharwal, visited the Pochampalli village on Wednesday (April 16,2025) to oversee the preparations.
