A MASSIVE wildfire has erupted at a beauty spot near Glasgow. Emergency crews raced to Cochno Reservoir in West Dunbartonshire after the alarm was raised at around 5.29 pm this evening.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service scrambled four appliances to tackle the inferno, which continues to burn. This latest grassfire comes just days after a similar blaze swept through the nearby Kilpatrick Hills .
Firefighters remain at the scene as they battle to bring the blaze under control. Four appliances were deployed. The fire remains ongoing." Earlier today, a wildfire broke out near a sports centre in Edinburgh .
The blaze was spotted on the hill near Midlothian Snowsports Centre Hillend on Biggar Road in the Capital. The gorse fire has forced bosses at the site to delay their opening.
