According to a recent study by The Times, the average house price on Macclesfield Road, the village's most prestigious address, has reached a staggering £6million. This makes it one of the most expensive roads in the UK, as revealed in the study that lists the most expensive streets across every region, with data provided by Rightmove analysts.

The Times wrote: "Alderley Edge, prime footballer belt, has been nicknamed the “Knightsbridge of the north” with a reputation for fine dining, bling and supercars in its position in Cheshire’s golden triangle of wealth. Famous residents over the years included the Beckhams, Cristiano Ronaldo and, currently, the Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland , while Coleen Rooney can regularly be found out shopping." They added: "The stream of Lamborghinis and Ferraris here has prompted a regular following on social media.
