Rex joined Joe and Stacey on the romantic walk in Stacey’s “happy place”.But it turns out they weren’t the only three people lurking in the woods.Unbeknownst to Stacey, Joe had organised a flower arrangement and enlisted the help of Stacey’s dad Dave to capture their special moment on camera.
While Dave knew how to work a camera, he was terrible at hiding behind trees. Joe explained on Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo‘s NewlyWeds podcast: “I was going into the forest, and these little kids were playing with the flowers.“So as we’re walking up.
I’ve heard David (Stacey’s dad) pop behind the tree and go to these two little kids, ‘leave the flowers alone!’“And Stacey’s gone, ‘that’s me dad!’ And I’m like, ‘oh my god’.”When Stacey saw all the flowers in one spot, she thought it was a memorial.“And then she’s gone, ‘oh no, look, someone’s died there and all,'” he added.
