Jamie Laing and wife Sophie Habboo were left baffled after thieves left two unusual items in their car after raiding it. BBC Radio 1 star Jamie says the couple left their vehicle near their London home. But when they returned to the car, they found its door was left slightly ajar.

It was then Jamie discovered their vehicle had been ransacked by thieves. However, speaking to Radio 1 colleagues Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton, Jamie explains the raiders left two unusual items on the car seats. He explained: “So, I live in London, I was with my wife Sophie and we went to get in our car.

It’s parked around the place we live, and it’s London right, things maybe go missing occasionally or whatever. “I walked up to the car, and the car looked a little bit funny, the door was slightly open, and I was like, ‘hang on a second, has someone managed to get into the car?’ Came up to the car and we had been robbed.” Jamie added: “My grandmother gave me a bowl for Christmas and I had taken it out of the car.

Everything was gone, but whoever had done it had left us a pineapple and a melon. “They left the pineapple in one seat and the melon in another seat. I said to my wife, ‘did you leave these in the car?’ and she was like, ‘no?’, so I don’t know if it’s a sign or the mark they leave.

” Jamie went on to say he considered eating the pineapple but concluded it was “so eerie”. Meanwhile Radio 1 listeners had their own ideas as to why the thieves left the fruit.
