H&M has issued a message to customers as it makes a major change to its returns policy. The high-street fashion giant has warned that from February 3, customers will now be charged for returning any items ordered online . As of this date, shoppers face a £2.

Additionally, under current rules all H&M loyalty members don’t have to pay a charge for returning items ordered online , but this will also change from February 3, with loyalty scheme customers also required to pay the new £2.95 fee. Shoppers don’t have to pay a returns fee for any faulty items or returns that are made in H&M stores, with the charge only applying to online purchases.

In a message to customers, H&M said: “Returns are currently free for all H&M Members but starting from the 3rd of February a return fee of £2.95 will be deducted from your refund for all customers. The fee is not applied to faulty items or returns made to H&M stores.

“For non-members, there is currently a £1.99 return fee per return parcel when returning online orders to our warehouse. This will be deducted from your refund.
