Police have announced a £10,000 reward for details regarding a teenage boy who vanished nearly 17 years ago. Alexander Sloley disappeared from Islington, North London, at the age of 16 in August 2008, leaving his family and mates without any word since then. The young man, an accountancy student at City and Islington College, had scant cash, no wallet, and lacked a bag with spare clothes, which might suggest he had plans to abscond, according to previous statements by the police .
He was characterised as a light-skinned black male, standing at 5ft 5ins tall, of medium build, and notable for his bright blue eyes.
