Login It’s easy to miss the entrance to Milan’s newest members’ club, The Wilde, despite it being a kitten-heel away from the glamorous stomping ground of Via Monte Napoleone. Located in a 1950s brick and concrete building, the former residence of Santo Versace (brother of Donatella and president of the company launched by Gianni) looks austere from the street.
Inside, however, is a display of opulent restraint spread over four expansive floors and a sprawling rooftop terrace. That’s largely due to the savvy direction of Paris-based Milanese interior architect and designer Fabrizio Casiraghi, who has adapted his trademark estetica borghese (Italian petit bourgeois aesthetic) to create an escape in a city renowned for its allegro allure.
