Charl Schwartzel, the 2011 Masters champion, offloaded a £7.1million Florida mansion in 2021, one year before he switched his loyalties to LIV Golf . After a stint on the European Tour , Schwartzel made the leap to the PGA Tour 14 years ago and quickly tasted major success at Augusta National .
His Masters win was one of only two victories he would enjoy on the prestigious Tour , with the other coming four years later at the Valspar Championship. Before leaving the PGA in 2022 and winning the inaugural LIV Golf tournament - the LIV Golf Invitational London - Schwartzel parted ways with his stunning Palm Beach Gardens property. Schwartzel first made a splash on the professional scene as a teenager in his native South Africa, making waves on the Sunshine Tour before his rise to the PGA.
In 2012, he bought the one-acre plot for a reported £870,000 and applied for a family home to be built on the land. The construction was completed in 2015 and featured an indoor putting green and a pristine swimming pool. The spacious and airy formal living area inside was decorated with a sophisticated and cohesive white and grey interior, complete with a modern chandelier hanging overhead.
The kitchen boasted a fitted sink island and an adjacent table. The master bedroom of the property boasted a spacious grey floor and sofa set, along with a television and walk-in closet. Stepping outside, a predominantly green loggia extended onto a perfectly finished swimming pool equipped with underwater.
