Alongside his illustrious Hollywood legacy, John Travolta is an enthusiastic pilot and aviation nerd who earned his private pilot’s license at age 22. He holds licenses and type ratings for various commercial aircraft types, including the Boeing 747, 737, and 707. John Travolta's passion for aviation led him to invest in the private Greystone Airport (17FL), allowing him to park his jets at home.

This two-runway airport is located in Anthony's unincorporated community, seven miles (11 km) from Ocala, Florida. Jumbolair, Inc. owns and operates this airport.



Today, John Travolta owns three registered aircraft models: a Dassault Falcon 900B , a Boeing 737-300, as well as the Eclipse EA500 very light aircraft. He has also previously owned Gulfstream models, including a Qantas Boeing B707 and a Gulfstream, Hawker 800, and Bombardier CL601 Challenger, all of which have since been retired. According to the National Air and Space Museum, he is also a licensed pilot for Gulfstream, Challenger, Hawker, Falcon, Lear, Citation, de Havilland Vampire, and Canadair CL-41 Tutor/Tebaun military jets.
