NEED TO KNOW Hoda Kotb has a new family member joining her household! On Thursday, July 10, the former TODAY co-anchor shared an adorable video of the moment she introduced her new puppy, Waffles, to her two daughters, Haley, 8, and Hope, 6 . “It’s official! In the video, Kotb, 60, can be seen clapping as a friend brings Waffles out of a car to her daughters, who are standing in their driveway waiting to meet their new furry friend.

Hope then asks to hold the pup, who has curly sandy-colored fur, and wags her tail as the 6-year-old holds her in her arms (with a little help from her mom). "Look how cute she is," Kotb gushes. In the comment section of her post, Kotb received several encouraging messages.

"❤️adorable!! Congratulations!! All children should grow up with a pet!! Especially a dog 😊" one follower wrote. "Waffles is going to be so loved. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing this wonderful moment!🥰" another fan wrote.
