Forecasters are predicting Brits will soon be enjoying 26C sunshine - even warmer than Hawaii - within the next 11 days. The temperature is set to reach this glorious high, marking the hottest day of the year, as warm air from the Atlantic moves eastward this month. The peak of this sweltering period is expected on Sunday, April 27, with the East of England, particularly Norfolk, experiencing the best of the weather.

Norfolk and Cambridgeshire are predicted to see beautiful highs of 26C that afternoon. In contrast, many places in Hawaii, nearly 7,000 miles away, will struggle to reach 20C. The largest of the state's lands, Hawaiʻi, may even see temperatures drop to around 15C, over 10C colder than the UK's highs.



These forecasts have been published by Metdesk, meteorologists who provide data to weather service Ventusky. However, this week has been significantly cooler than last week's brief heatwave, during which temperatures were expected to hit 24C. This dry spell did lead to wildfires across the countryside, including parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland, reports The Mirror .

On Monday, a low of -2.5C was recorded by the Met Office in South Newington, Oxfordshire. Temperatures also dropped below freezing in Northumberland, North Yorkshire and Herefordshire among other places.

Brits are in for a treat as warm weather is set to return, coinciding perfectly with the Easter school holiday. Forecasters predict widespread temperatures of 20C across the nation, reaching areas .
