She was born on April 4, 1942, in Louisville, KY. Beloved mother of Eric (Stacy) Poole of Ashland, OR and Tracie (Chris) Olson of Geneva, IL, adored grandmother of Allie and Aimee Poole; twins, Kate and Andie Olson, special friend of Bill Abernethy, devoted daughter of the late Paul and Betty Jane Miner, dear sister of Bob (Betsy) Miner of Alamo, CA, fond aunt of Scott Miner, Jamie (Mark) Westgate, Eddie (Vicki) Barr and Janice (Bryan) Langford, cousin of Paul (the late Marty) Graw, fond great-aunt and friend of many. Former spouse of Ed Poole.
Bonnie earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Hanover College in Indiana, followed by a master’s in education from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. After completing her studies, she lived with her family in Indiana and Georgia before settling in Naperville in 1980. Bonnie was a devoted and beloved educator for more than 35 years, most of which she spent teaching 3rd grade.
She ended her career with many joyful and meaningful years at Maplebrook Elementary School in Naperville, where she made a lasting impact on countless students and formed deep, lifelong friendships with her colleagues. In retirement, Bonnie remained deeply engaged with her comm.
