Surat: A travel operator of Kapodra has been booked by police for allegedly raping a 38-year-old married woman multiple times over the past eight years. The accused also allegedly subjected the woman to unnatural sex, threatened to make her nude photos viral, and beat her. Kapodra police booked Shailesh Talaviya (42) under Sections 376, 376(2)(n), 377, 323, 504 and 506 of IPC.

Police said that after the FIR was filed on Tuesday, the accused was on the run and police had made a team to nab him. According to the complaint, the woman came in contact with the accused through his friend eight years ago. Talaviya lured her with a marriage proposal, though both were already married and each of them had two kids from their respective spouses.



Talaviya allegedly told the woman that he did not share a good relationship with his wife. On the pretext of marrying the woman, he allegedly raped her at her home, a Mumbai resort, a Bardoli apartment, in Diu, in Kutch, at farm in Pipodara, at Saputara, at Dhuliya and inside a private luxury bus. She also alleged that Talaviya had subjected her to unnatural sex and beaten her.

According to police, the accused had allegedly threatened the woman to make her nude photos viral if she did not have a physical relationship with him.
