Thursday, May 9, 2024 Chairman of Qatar Tourism , His Excellency Mr. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, convened a high-level meeting with representatives from the Republic of Djibouti to explore avenues for strengthening collaboration in their respective tourism industries. Welcoming His Excellency Mohamed Warsama Dirieh, Minister of Commerce and Tourism of the Republic of Djibouti, along with a delegation including His Excellency Osman Abdi Mohamed, Director General of the National Tourism Agency, Mr.
Ahmed Mohamed Omar, Minister Consultant, and His Excellency Ambassador Tayeb Dbd Robleh, Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to the State of Qatar, at Qatar Tourism’s headquarters, Mr. Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji led discussions. During the meeting, both parties engaged in constructive dialogue to enhance bilateral ties.
In response to a request from the Djibouti delegation, Qatar Tourism presented a proposal outlining training opportunities and resources aimed at bolstering Djibouti’s tourism sector and strengthening its workforce. Qatar Tourism pledged to provide comprehensive tourism training initiatives designed to foster sectoral growth in Djibouti and support its tourism personnel, offering specialized Service Excellence training. The Service Excellence department at Qatar Tourism has meticulously developed a two-phase program scheduled to commence later this year.
