Following two well-received instalments, Prime Video has announced the third season of popular cricket docuseries The Test will be released Friday May 24. Renowned for its fly-on-the-wall footage and insightful interviews, the latest chapter reveals the key moments and emotions enveloping the Australian cricket team’s 2023 Ashes series in England. Often lost in the Ashes rear view, the inner sanctum footage chronicles the travelling side’s showdown with India in the World Test Championship final before battling Bazball head-on.

Journalism for the curious Australian across politics, business, culture and opinion. Featuring heavily in the three-part release, Test captain Pat Cummins foreshadowed the launch by offering some of his personal highlights from the campaign. “There are no greater rivals, and I know people will love taking an inside look at what was going on behind the scenes when season three launches on 24 May,” Cummins said.

“Winning the World Test Championship, which began our UK tour, was a victory the whole squad was enormously proud of. It was and still is a huge goal of ours. And as always, The Ashes brings with it plenty of controversy and defining moments.

“I am sure people from all walks will enjoy an exclusive look at what happens on and off field during these campaigns.” Head of Prime Video Australia and New Zealand Hushidar Kharas reflected on the show’s success and why the never-before-seen coverage has captivated viewers around the world.
