Mumbai: The NCP ( SP ) on Wednesday claimed that in view of the “anti-Modi atmosphere” in the country, while INDIA bloc will replace NDA, MVA will secure the maximum number of seats in Maharashtra and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP will not be able to open its account. The Ajit Pawar-led NCP, in alliance with BJP and Shiv Sena, is contesting four LS seats. “June 4 will be a historic day when INDIA bloc will form the govt as people have rejected the ‘Modi guarantee.

’ Maharashtra is the only state in the country where elections are spread over five phases. Elsewhere, elections are being held in one or two phases. So Modi has scope to visit the state frequently,” NCP spokesperson Mahesh Tapase said.

“Recently, people voted in the third phase. The MVA will take the state by surprise. People have rejected BJP’s promises,” he added.

Tapase said for the first time, whether in Vidarbha or Western Maharashtra, BJP’s traditional voters did not participate in the poll process, leading to poor turnout. - Prafulla Marpakwar We also published the following articles recently Sharad Pawar's events on Monday cancelled over health reasons: NCP (SP) NCP(SP) Pune unit announced Sharad Pawar's event cancellation due to health reasons.
