Silchar: At least 20 persons, including women and children , suffered injuries after a bus, in which they were travelling, veered off the road and toppled onto a roadside field at Purbagul under Patharkandi police station in Karimganj district of Assam on Wednesday. The ASTC bus met with the accident around 10:30 am when it was going towards Karimganj from Anipur. After the bus reached Purbagul, the bus lost control.

Onlookers rescued the passengers and sent them to a hospital in Patharkandi, reports BB Goswami.
