The singer, 44, returned to stage for the first time in over a decade, performing at the Recording Academy’s Austin Chapter Block Party during SXSW in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, March 12. “Last night, was my first performance in 15 years,” she wrote via her Instagram account as she shared footage from the event the following day. Simpson added, “It was an emotional coming back home to the best part of myself.
