A MUM told how her all dreams came true when she bagged a real-life supermarket sweep. Georgina Griffiths was given five minutes to zoom around her local Aldi and pick up almost anything she wanted. She filled six trollies in the frantic dash and walked away with more than £620 worth of goodies, and double that amount for charity.

She’s packed out her freezer and her cupboards and reckons she scored at least a month’s worth of shopping during her tiring run. Georgina revealed it was something she’d longed to do ever since seeing Dale Winton’s hit game show as a youngster. She said: “It really was the dream experience for every 90s kid.



“Growing up and watching the original show it’s always been something I wanted to do. When the chance came up I knew I had to apply. “The staff made it really exciting and they were my own 'pit crew' as they called themselves.

“It was everything I hoped for.” A pal shared the applications on a group chat and bartender Georgina got her form away as quickly as possible. She was stunned when Aldi bosses came back and told her she’d won the chance to raid the shelves at the shop at Aberdeen beach.

Because she has twin boys, aged two, and a four-year-old daughter she drew up a strategy to get essential items. Everything was up for grabs, except booze and some non-food special buys.
