Thursday, May 9, 2024 This summer, the Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi is embracing the Hawaiian vibe with its Hawaiian-inspired Afternoon Tea. The menu features an array of tropical fruits like mango, passionfruit, and coconut, creating a vivid collection of treats that encapsulate the joy of summer. Hosted in the luminous and welcoming space of MAISON MARUNOUCHI from June 1 through August 31, 2024, the Aloha Afternoon Tea is a testament to the superb craftsmanship of Executive Pastry Chef Patrick Thibaud.

“Summer is synonymous with vibrant, flavorful fruits. Hawaii, in particular, is renowned for its exquisite desserts, cocktails, and smoothies, which inspired our new offerings,” he explains. Chef Patrick has devised six unique desserts that pair beautifully with the sophisticated savory selections of Chef Daniel Calvert, the creative force behind SÉZANNE, the hotel’s distinguished two Michelin star French restaurant.

Aloha Afternoon Tea The tea service offers a sophisticated take on kawaii, the charming Japanese aesthetic. Chef Patrick’s desserts not only delight the palate but also tell stories—of ingredients, sensations, and the essence of places. The experience begins with a welcoming Mai Tai mocktail, an invigorating blend of pineapple, orange, and lime, adorned with a bite-sized pineapple piece and a bright red cherry, setting a tropical tone.

Guests are then treated to a series of Hawaiian-inspired delicacies including the Passionfruit & Banana Mou.
