Patiala : Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday claimed here that Ahmed Shah Abdali had created this erstwhile princely state to reward Captain Amarinder Singh ’s ancestor Ala Singh for snitching on a “Khalsa group” that had looted the Afghan invader’s convoy. While in Samana area of Patiala to campaign for AAP candidate Dr Balbir Singh, Mann said: “The Sikhs would raid Abdali’s convoy and distribute his loot among the poor. Then Amarinder was with the Akalis and the Congress based on who governed Punjab. Now he is with the BJP.” About Bikram Singh Majithia of the SAD and Partap Singh Bajwa of the Congress, he said: “On the night of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919, British general Dyer had dined at Majithia’s house.

And we expect these people to be loyal to Punjab! Bajwa is desperate to be CM, but the Congress shattered his dream.” About SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal, Mann said: “We will take over his Sukhvilas resort and make it a five-star govt school, first with an attached pools with every classroom.” Taking on Narendra Modi, he sai.
