Lucknow: With assets worth Rs 25.8 crore, Sarwar Malik of Bahujan Samaj Party is the wealthiest contender in fray for Lucknow Lok Sabha seat, revealed an analysis of declaration submitted to the Election Commission by 10 candidates . Mohammad Ahmad from the Social Democratic Party of India is the poorest, with only Rs 1.

18 lakh as assets. When it comes to education , both defence minister Rajnath Singh from the Bharatiya Janata Party and Sarwar Ali from Sarwar Party are postgraduates. Singh holds a postgraduate degree in science, while Sarwar Ali, who is the youngest candidate at 29, holds a postgraduate degree in Hindi.



BSP’s Sarwar Malik owns three vehicles , including a fancy SUV and a mini truck. Kapil Mohan Chaudhary from Mera Adhikar Party and Gaurav Verma of Hindu Samaj Party also own two four-wheelers. Rajnath Singh, 72, is the oldest candidate.

He doesn’t own any vehicle. Mohammad Ahmad and Sarwar Malik are the only candidates without a college degree. Samajwadi Party candidate Ravidas Mehrotra is the candidate with the maximum police cases against him.

He has declared 18 cases, all charges related to protest and breach of peace. In Mohanlalganj, the richest candidate is two-time MP and Union minister Kaushal Kishore of BJP, with assets worth Rs 7.5 crore.

Brijesh Kumar Vikram of the Rashtriya Samaj Paksha, with assets worth Rs 1.1 lakh, is the poorest among them. Ramesh Kumar, contesting as an Independent candidate, is the most educated contender with a postgrad.
