A catwalk look blessed by Donatella Versace, who unveiled daytime telly jackets aplenty, it also made inroads at Stella McCartney, where corporate workwear that harked back to Diamond’s heyday dominated. Be a star on your sofa now by wearing bold blazers and a shoulder pad or two for all occasions (not just the office). Bouncy blow-dry also essential.

fetish? Pass the talc, PVC furniture is having a moment. Cahu, the Parisian fashion brand known for its PVC handbags, is collaborating with the experimental furniture-maker Uma on limited-edition, collectable seating in red PVC (from £1,785). Other fetish furnishings are provided by Seletti — an industry leader in OTT homewares — which has printed PVC folding chairs designed by the Dutch label Studio Job (£79).

The modern version of PVC is PLA, a cornstarch-based bioplastic, and should you want fantastic plastic with eco cred, there is a best buy: the Edge Collection series of 3D-printed ribbed vases by 2LG x Sheyn (from £57).
